Symposium Format

The structure of the Climate Engineering Research Symposium 2015 will consist of five half-days in a plenary setting. Each half-day will be organized around a single cross-cutting theme, to be examined from a variety of disciplinary perspectives as well as more integrated points of view.

The Symposium programme will feature oral and poster presentations. The posters will be arranged by theme and will be featured during social sessions on the evenings of the first and second day of the Symposium.  To encourage discussions between presenters and symposium attendees the posters will be announced by a poster pitch.

The Symposium is combined with a public-engagement part on the first day (Engaging Pupils in the CE-Debate – A Role-Play) and the third day’s evening (participatory knowledge show “Pointing Science”).
July 10 is reserved for breakout sessions of individual initiatives addressing specific research programmes and a young scientis workshop.
