The Symposium on the Web
To broaden the discussions during the symposium, we announced the conference on Twitter and Facebook as well starting this blog. We had no idea what the response would be like. We established the hashtag #CERSYM2015 and tweets started arriving before the people did.
Some participants helped to inform interested Twitter users about the ongoing talks. As some people could not attend due to parallel events, the Symposium hashtag was recommended as a way to stay up to date.
Central or controversial statements made during the talks were tweeted. Every talk got at least one tweet. Below is a small sample:
Pictures of some slides were included in tweets:
Some provided light relief with jokes.
A user regrets not being at the symposium.
The feedback both online and offline showed that the symposium was enjoyed by many. Interesting talks and lively discussions created a conducive environment to think about CE.
Our blog team was also well received.
We got very positive feedback about the blog on Facebook. Thanks!
Thank you all participating on the web and in person!
